IS SORORITY LIFE FOR ME?

Every campus and every chapter is different, but sororities participate in all kinds of things from intramural activities, to study groups, to musical performances, and much more! On top of that, they host events to raise money for local charities and volunteer at a wide variety of local organizations.

We're not saying that sorority life is right for everyone, everywhere. To see if it's a fit for you, try going through recruitment. You'll meet lots of new people -- and potential sorority sisters.

WHAT IS THE NPC?

The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is the premier advocacy and support organization for the advancement of the sorority experience.

The National Panhellenic Conference provides support and guidance for its 26 member women’s fraternities and serves as the national voice on contemporary issues of sorority life. Founded in 1902, NPC is one of the oldest and largest women’s membership organizations representing more than 4 million women at 655 college/university campuses in the U.S. and Canada. Each year, NPC-affiliated collegians and alumnae donate more than $5 million to worthy causes, provide $2.8 million in scholarships to women and volunteer 500,000 hours in their communities.

The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is working to combat common stereotypes and misperceptions about sorority life. It is our goal to share the real life experience with potential new members and their parents or guardians.
